Dr. Shawn Beck

Dr. Beck is a graduate from the urology program at the University of California at Irvine. He has completed additional training in pediatric urology at the Childrens Hospital of Orange County. He has received many awards including Phi Beta Kappa and Alpha Omega Alpha.

Dr. Beck has been quite successful academically with over 20 peer reviewed publications and book chapters in the adult and pediatric literature. He has presented his research at National and International meetings. He has done additional education and training at UC Irvine in clinical outcomes research to help improve patient care after surgery.

With his advanced training, he is both proficient in adult and pediatric laparoscopic , endoscopic, and robotic procedures. His most recent training is on the daVinci single port robotics platform which allows his prostate cancer patients to be treated through a single small incision. He has extensive experience on many of the conventional and the newer BPH procedures such as the UroLift and Aquablation techniques. He treats nearly all diagnoses of adult Men, Women, and Children.

He is on staff at many hospitals in Southern California including the Providence St. Joseph system, Childrens Hospital of Orange County, the Hoag Presbyterian system, and La Veta Surgery Center.

In his spare time he enjoys spending time with his wife and three children. He loves being outdoors, camping, biking, and rock climbing, and he has a special interest in restoring anything Vintage.
